Once the students have completed their Starter, they will move on to their Entrée selection. Each student will pick one Entrée from the list below:
Trading Cards-
Create a minimum of 3 trading cards for 3 important people from the assigned topic. The front of the card should contain a color picture of the person and their name. The back should include important facts and information about the person’s significance in history. See teacher for blank index cards.

Answer all section review questions in all assigned textbook sections for this topic. Your answers must be in complete sentences.

Travel Brochure-
Create a travel brochure for one of the important locations in the topic. Explain what was happening during the specific historical era that would make people of the time period want to travel there. Include color maps and images.

Eulogy-
Write a eulogy about one important person from the topic from the perspective of another important person from the topic. Include 3 of the deceased person’s most important contributions to their region/nation, supported by specific evidence and reasoning . Finally, explain why you were, personally, such an admirer.

Get Graphic-
Choose a partner for this activity. Each partner will design a graphic organizer using Popplet to help your friend collect and organize information on the topic. Then share and fill in your partner’s graphic organizers. Share your completed graphic organizers to your teacher. The rubric for this selection is included below under Interactive Rubrics. Popplet will allow students to collaborate with graphic organizers that are neat and flow nicely. This allows students to build a high quality resource that can be later used for review.

Digital options are also available. If you like, you may use speech bubbles to indicate what people who were present might have said.
